Jen has spent the last 27 years building her career and raising her family in B.C. – first in Nanaimo and then in Sointula.

Jen is an entrepreneur and is the founder of two not-for-profit organizations and ran her own consulting business. More recently, she was a Senior Advisor to the federal government. Throughout her career, she worked at the intersection of the economy, conservation, climate change, and reconciliation, giving her a strong understanding of how these issues connect.

Jen is passionate about helping the communities of North Island–Powell River flourish. She will work across sectors and party lines to find the best solutions and she will ensure federal economic and social programs are designed to meet the needs of the people who work and live here.

Always active in her community, Jen served as the President of the local Parent Advisory Council and was on the Board of the Sointula Co-op and Mount Cain Alpine Park Society. She can often be found emceeing events and working the concession at community events.

Jen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Degree from Royal Roads University.

In her spare time, Jen likes to explore the coast by boat in the summer and ski at Mount Cain in the winter. She enjoys fishing and gardening and recently took up hunting. With a bit more practice, she will one day call herself a hunter. She has two grown children and a cat named Trouble.
